Our Junior Cert French programme is built around real SEC exam papers, combining academic learning with exam strategy — including dedicated preparation for both Classroom-Based Assessments.

Lessons run in monthly cycles of four 1-hour lessons, once a week, each built around one specific topic to build vocabulary steadily. Each week targets a different skill:

Every lesson is illustrated with exercises taken directly from SEC exam papers.

CBA 2 — Oral Communication Task: structured speaking practice and recorded feedback, so students have said their answers out loud many times before it counts.

 

January, in the run-up to mock exams, and May, in the final stretch before the state exam, shift entirely to paper-based revision — full past and mock papers, under timed conditions, so students walk into both exams already exam-fit.

Once registered, your child is booked into their weekly lesson slot and joins live, online, in a small group class of up to 6 students. After every lesson, they'll have access to all the resources used in that session — worksheets, exam extracts, vocabulary lists, and notes — so nothing covered in the lesson is ever lost once the hour ends.
